Research standard
A useful note states its limits.
Market observations can become stale quickly. Methodologies can change as better data or a more faithful interpretation of an instrument becomes available. Published work should state the question it addresses, the sources it relies on and what it cannot establish.
A reported number should not be presented as independently assured simply because a process can calculate it. The distinction between an internal method, a verified result and an investment conclusion matters.
